The Titans Foundation Donates $1 Million To Tornado Relief Effort

The NFL Foundation donates an additional $250,000

The Titans Foundation and controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk today announced a donation of $1 million to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) following the devastation of the EF-3 tornado that swept through Nashville, Mt. Juliet, Cookeville and surrounding areas late Monday night.

In addition, The NFL Foundation will make a $250,000 contribution to CFMT and also will work with local schools to assess needs for football field repair and equipment replacement. “Everyone in these communities and throughout Tennessee should be eternally grateful to the Tennessee Titans for their tremendous efforts in helping the victims of the tornadoes,” said Ellen Lehman, President, CFMT. “This is an extraordinary gift toward our ability to respond and restore
the damage caused by these disastrous storms.”

CFMT will disperse the donation to non-profits throughout the region that benefit those in need of immediate and long-term aid. Among the non-profits anticipated to receive aid through the donation include Hands On Nashville, Westminster Home Connection, Family and Children’s Service, the Community Resource Center, Crossroads Campus and many more. “We are so encouraged about the amount of charity people have shown in the aftermath of Monday night’s tragedy,” Adams Strunk said. “As leaders in the community, we want to lend our help to this cause of healing and rebuilding. Together we will help our neighbors through this long and difficult process. We are hopeful that others will join us in supporting this effort any way they can.”

Those wishing to make a financial contribution to CFMT can donate to the fund by visiting www.cfmt.org and clicking “donate now” at the top of the page or by calling 888-540-5200. The Titans have also partnered with Hands on Nashville to encourage volunteer efforts across the region. Titans players, staff and their families will volunteer in middle Tennessee on Friday, March 6 (details to media forthcoming). Other volunteer opportunities are available at www.hon.org.

“It truly takes a village to recover from a disaster and our sports community is taking that to heart,” said Tara Tenorio, Hands on Nashville Chief Operating Officer. “Hands On Nashville is honored to partner with the Tennessee Titans as they lend their incredible team spirit to keep Nashville strong.”

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 27, 2020) EPISODE 9: FIRE PINK EPISODE 10: ALL IN “Today, today is our beginning.” And that’s how the third season of Ozark comes to a close, with not one, not two, but three bangs. The first effectively castrates (and then some) Frank Cosgrove Jr., the second takes out…

B6B: TV REVIEW: Ozark – Season 3, Eps 7-8

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 27, 2020) One major point I forgot to cover in the previous review was Omar Navarro’s call to Wendy, where he pretty much reminded her who was in charge. We glossed over it, but didn’t speak about it nearly enough. Again, Wendy Byrde was acting like she was Rodion…

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 27, 2020) EPISODE 1: WARTIME EPISODE 2: CIVIL UNION Ozark never wastes much time, as each lengthy episode continually barrages you with content. After each hour, you feel like you’ve watched a full season. That’s both a blessing and a curse, because certainly it earns its ten episode length,…

B6B: TV REVIEW: Westworld – Season 3 Premiere

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 15, 2020) I know it’s been well over a year since Season 2, but I hope I’m not the only one that finished up a tension-filled, but cumbersome and confusing premiere wondering exactly what show I just watched. I wasn’t un-entertained, I was just left baffled. The series I…

B6B: MOVIE REVIEW: The Hunt

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 11, 2020) For the first time maybe ever, I’m not going to even bother spending time reviewing the acting or direction or sound work of a movie I’m writing about.
