B6B: TV REVIEW: Ozark – Season 3, Eps 9-10

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 27, 2020) EPISODE 9: FIRE PINK EPISODE 10: ALL IN “Today, today is our beginning.” And that’s how the third season of Ozark comes to a close, with not one, not two, but three bangs. The first effectively castrates (and then some) Frank Cosgrove Jr., the second takes out…

B6B: TV REVIEW: Ozark – Season 3, Eps 7-8

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 27, 2020) One major point I forgot to cover in the previous review was Omar Navarro’s call to Wendy, where he pretty much reminded her who was in charge. We glossed over it, but didn’t speak about it nearly enough. Again, Wendy Byrde was acting like she was Rodion…

B6B: TV REVIEW: Ozark – Season 3, Eps 5-6

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 27, 2020) EPISODE 5: IT CAME FROM MICHOACÁN EPISODE 6: SU CASA ES MI CASA What we’re reminded of from creators Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams as the sixth episode comes to a close is the real stakes involved her. Sometimes, we forget because we hear of Omar Navarro…

B6B: TV REVIEW: Ozark – Season 3, Eps 1-2

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 27, 2020) EPISODE 1: WARTIME EPISODE 2: CIVIL UNION Ozark never wastes much time, as each lengthy episode continually barrages you with content. After each hour, you feel like you’ve watched a full season. That’s both a blessing and a curse, because certainly it earns its ten episode length,…

B6B: TV REVIEW: Ozark – Season 3, Eps 3-4

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 27, 2020) EPISODE 3: KEVIN CRONIN WAS HERE EPISODE 4: BOSS FIGHT Before we even get into the episodes themselves, we have to again talk about the colors. I’m pretty sure I wrote about this last season, but if I didn’t, I certainly should have. Have you noticed, basically…

B6B: TV REVIEW: Better Call Saul, Season 5, Episodes 5-6

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 23, 2020) EPISODE 5: DEDICADO A MAX EPISODE 6: WEXLER V. GOODMAN “Or.” That word proved to be of supreme importance in the last two episodes of Better Call Saul, as it necessitates and instigates the concept of a CHOICE. Ultimately, that’s what several characters on this show are…

B6B: TV REVIEW: Westworld – Season 3 Premiere

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 15, 2020) I know it’s been well over a year since Season 2, but I hope I’m not the only one that finished up a tension-filled, but cumbersome and confusing premiere wondering exactly what show I just watched. I wasn’t un-entertained, I was just left baffled. The series I…

B6B: MOVIE REVIEW: The Hunt

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 11, 2020) For the first time maybe ever, I’m not going to even bother spending time reviewing the acting or direction or sound work of a movie I’m writing about. Honestly, it doesn’t matter, because the reality is, there’s nothing to talk about there in terms of whether you…

B6B: TV REVIEW: Better Call Saul – Season 5, Episode 4

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – March 9, 2020) EPISODE 4: NAMASTE This was a very, very heavy Saul and Kim episode, which with just a little Hank and Steve hijinks and a pretty frightening few minutes of Gus waiting for that call…made it maybe my favorite of the new season. Written and directed by Gordon…
