Bonds set for two accused former Buckeyes

Two former Ohio State football players accused of rape appeared in court for the first time Thursday in Columbus.Franklin County Municipal Court Judge Cynthia Ebner set bond at $100,000 for Amir Riep and $75,000 for Jahsen Wint, the Columbus Dispatch reported. The judge also ordered both men to have no contact with the alleged 19-year-old victim or with each other, and to make no comments on social media regarding the case.Riep and Wint, both 21, were arrested Tuesday on charges of rape and kidnapping. On Wednesday, Ohio State coach Ryan Day dismissed both defensive backs, who each had one year of eligibility remaining, from the team. The alleged incident occurred on Feb. 4 at the off-campus apartment the players share.According to police, a woman said she was at the apartment and began having consensual sex with Riep, but told Riep she did not want to continue. Then Wint allegedly entered the room and asked to join them before grabbing the woman by the throat and assaulting her.The players allegedly demanded the woman attest that the sex had been consensual on a video recording and take a shower before Riep drove her home.
