New England Patriots rookie linebacker Quintayvious Hutchins was arraigned Wednesday morning in Newton (Mass.) District Court on a domestic assault and battery charge, per court documents.
The alleged incident took place at a Boston College dorm on Tuesday, per CBS Boston.
Hutchins, 23, pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery on a family/household member. He was released on his own personal recognizance with a pretrial hearing scheduled for June 29.
“We are aware of the report involving Quintayvious Hutchins,” the Patriots said in a statement, via ESPN. “We take these matters very seriously and are in the process of gathering additional information. We will not have further comment at this time.”
The Patriots selected Hutchins in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft out of Boston College. He was a defensive captain last season with the Eagles, recording 35 tackles and two sacks in 10 games.
Hutchins signed a four-year rookie contract with the Patriots last week.
