Doug Mathews brings you inside information from the UT campus 52 weeks a year!

Not many analysts in the midsouth have as much football expertise as Doug Mathews. Mathews, best known for his 10 seasons as Running Backs Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the University of Tennessee, brings you the latest on University Of Tennessee football every Sunday morning on Big Orange Sunday.

No one in Nashville has the access or insight to Big Orange Football that Doug brings to the air each and every Sunday morning. But Big Orange Sunday is more than football: it’s everything related to the University of Tennessee.

Break down Saturday’s game with Doug Mathews at 737-1045. Sunday’s 8a-9a on THE Sports Station — 104-5 The Zone.

Mathews’ Background:

Mathews credits Bear Bryant and Bud Wilkinson as coaches who influenced the way he coached his players during the years he worked inside the game, but no one had as much of an effect on his coaching philosophy as former Virginia Tech head coach Bill Dooley. Mathews says Dooley furnished him with his first opportunity as an offensive coach and provided him with valuable information within the I-Formation offense.

Outside of the Florida performance, no two efforts were less impressive than last week at home…

Creed II Review

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – November 23, 2018) Predictable isn’t always a bad thing, particularly when what’s easy to see coming doubles as the proper choice and the most apt of decision. Big 6 Blog: Big 6 Takeaways (Titans vs. Colts)

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – November 18, 2018) Shortly before Sunday’s kickoff in Indianapolis, I tweeted out “Don’t Buffalo this.” While I was fully aware the Colts were far better than the Bills, it was more about the road letdown after a major home victory.
