B6B: Toy Story 4 Review

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – June 19, 2019) “4” is pretty rarified air as it relates to a film trilogy, or for that matter a scripted television season. It requires longevity both from a cast willing to keep on coming back for more as well as an audience willing to… keep on coming back for…

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – June 13, 2019) Here’s what I can’t do: Add anything to what’s already been written over the past 24 hours or certainly over the past 24 years about either Steve McNair or Eddie George. I needed to find some sort of angle that wouldn’t rely on recapping and laying out…

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – June 12, 2019) Once it was revealed on Wednesday afternoon that Kevin Durant had already undergone surgery to repair a ruptured right Achilles tendon, we officially learned what we unofficially already felt was the case. On the surface, John Wick was simple, by-the-book, and straightforward in its approach and in…

B6B: Golden State Remains Steph’s Show

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – May 17, 2019) There’s a difference between “better” and “more fun” or “favorite” in entertainment. Whereas Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof’s mystery, Lost, remains my personal number one show of all-time, I also recognize Breaking Bad and The Wire are probably the two BEST series of my lifetime, and both…

B6B: John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum Review

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – May 14, 2019) No big screen franchise, with the exception of the The Fast and the Furious films, has been more surprising in its longevity and success than the John Wick movies. Prior to the first movie’s release, it was largely seen as…well, something that most people wouldn’t see. And then, something…

B6B: Rockets Playoff Exit is a Recycled, Predictable Plot Line

By JASON MARTIN (@JMartZone – May 11, 2019) “Narrative” can really become an albatross around the neck of someone’s life, whether it be in certain aspects or as an overall summation of that person’s perceived worth.
