Today 104-5 The Zone attended Nissan Stadium’s culinary tour to preview what’s new and exciting for the 2018 season at Nissan Stadium concessions.
The new menu offers innovative approaches to Nashville classic favorite dishes as well as featuring some of Nashville’s best local chefs and breweries. It will all launch this Sunday at the Titans home opener vs the Houston Texans.

Below is info on the inspiration of the new menu, what’s to come and our review from today’s sampling.

Regional Executive Chef of Legends Hospitality, Orazio Lamanna on what’s new and exciting for the 2018 season at Nissan Stadium concessions.

Here’s a rundown review on the items we sampled:

Hot Chicken and Waffles – The chicken was well cooked and crispy with a nice peppery bite to it, pickles are always a great add to hot chicken. The waffles are thick and fluffy and are Belgian styled which gives a nice maple sweetness to add to the hot flavor from the chicken. (Available at 2nd Street Kitchen stands)

Bent Buckle BBQ Nachos – This combo of white cheddar cheese mixed with citrus crema and pico de gallo went perfectly with the smoked pulled pork drizzled in BBQ sauce. Definitely our favorite sample of the day. The smoked pulled pork was very scrumptious and had a great smoked flavor. (Available at Bent Buckle stands)

Pepperfire Hot Chicken Tenders – Was very excited to see Pepperfire Hot Chicken on the menu and their sampling definitely impressed. It was a tough decision between this and the BBQ nachos mentioned above as the top item but both are 100% worth getting when dinning at Nissan Stadium. Pepperfire’s reputation continues to carry over to their hot chicken dish that was served over fires, which we liked as the seasoning drizzled down on to the fries to continue the hot peppery flavor. The chicken was perfectly done and the Pepperfire dry rubbed seasoning was true to the taste that you would get at their restaurant.

The Blue Flame – This well done craft cocktail is a must get for those drinking responsibly, of course, at Nissan Stadium. Mixed with locally distilled Picker’s Vodka, yum, paired with sour mix, blue curacao (which gives it a nice Titans blue color) and club soda with a cherry dipped in sugar on top. (Available at Main Level Picker’s Bars at sections 111 and 136)

#8 Hawaiian Burger – This burger is a nice ode to #8 (Titans QB Marcus Mariota) as the burger itself a fesh, never frozen patty topped with melted swiss cheese, sweet BBQ sauce, bacon and grilled pineapple. The burger was fresh and the pineapple, bacon and BBQ sauce was a good pairing for the burger, would like to see this in a 3 slider combo. (Available at Main Level Nashgrille’s)

Turkey Burger and Tarragon Chicken Wrap – We did not get around to sampling this but do appreciate these two healthy options. The turkey burger is topped with cranberry chutney and arugula on a wheat bun, The chicken wrap is almond crusted with sprouts topped with tarragon aioli in a wheat tortilla wrap.

Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine – Again for those who drink responsibly 😉 you can never go wrong with Ole Smoky TN Moonshine. Plenty of flavors to choose from and I always enjoy their apple pie flavor.
